– I like the contrasting sounds of the room: narrow space-sound in the café, and open in the central court. I love hearing the excitement of the school children exploring the exhibition from above – it gives me a feeling of having a bird’s-eye view. I can even hear the diagonal distances of the room, or at least from the half-wall in front of me to where the sound came from, way down in the central court. And I love that some sounds suddenly stand out. I sometimes tune in on the coffee shop sounds, just to check, and then back out to enjoy the room sounds again.
