– I love the sound of the open meadow in front of me, often accompanied by the sound of animals eating, drinking, moving or mooing, and of children playing a game of cricket. It’s all so different from the sounds of traffic and other busyness in High Street. I love the majestic and consistent sound from the bell towers, always telling the time in the exact same sequence and pace – Magdalen College, Merton College, and Christ Church – it feels like the seconds are longer, like they’re more real than my everyday stress-seconds are.
