Professors Bill Fulford and Ashok Handa talk about values and values-based practice, and what this means in surgery. They then discuss the Montgomery Supreme Court ruling on consent and how this will change everyone’s practice.

Professor Fulford is a Fellow of St Catherine’s College and a Member of the Philosophy Faculty, University of Oxford, and Emeritus Professor of Philosophy and Mental Health, University of Warwick Medical School. Professor Handa is Associate Professor in Surgery and Director of Surgical Education at the Nuffield Department of Surgical Sciences, University of Oxford.
